Volt is immediately hiring a Junior Buyer in Brownsville, TXThis is a great opportunity to work for an aerospace manufacturer that is making news!As a Buyer you will:Create sourcing strategies for assigned categories to reduce risk and meet targets for the purchasing department including, but not limited to, payment terms, cash targets, and cost savingsCommunicate, manage, and drive compliance to category strategiesIdentify and execute cost reduction projects including planning, coordinating with stakeholders, estimating completion, and project updatesPerform quantitative and business process analyses to identify financial impacts of decisions, cost improvement and performance for assigned categoriesBASIC Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or 4years of experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering functionPREFERRED SKILLS AND Experience:Familiarity or experience working with aerospace componentsStrong ability to read drawings and blueprints, with understanding of manufacturing complexityExperience with technical procurement, manufacturing, or designing production componentsRemarkable problem solving skills with a bias for speed and positive impactAbility to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsExceptional analytical and organizational skillsExcellent customer service skills, produce exceptional work at all times, highly self-motivatedEffective written, verbal and presentation communication skillsStrong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, SQL, PowerBI, etc.)Detail-oriented, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environmentHolds self to highest ethical standards, and conducts all activities with the highest level of integrityADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to travel up to 15%Able to work long hours and weekends as neededThis position is based in Brownsville, TX and requires being onsite - remote work not consideredPay Rate: $30/hour- $35/hour Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
